Celebrity Gossip - Effect on Celeb Life

We know that the lives of the celebrities provide fodder celebrity gossip sites. The celeb gossip columns move in ebb and tide, resonating with the influence of the personal lives, achievements and involvements of the celebrities. But this flow is not a one-way movement. There are times when the entertainment news sites and publications make a strong impact on the lives of the celebrities. And then you find that the real world is being controlled and even dictated by the power of the written word. That's when you begin to assess the true impact of what is written in the paparazzi scoop columns.

Let us study this strange phenomenon with an example. We know the celebrity gossip sites publish news and update that deal with their personal lives. Sometimes celeb gossip sites move away from their point of focus and depend on unreliable sources of information. They pass off distorted facts as paparazzi scoops. Reputed entertainment news sites cannot wash their hands off this blame. If they carry a story about an extramarital affair that is just not there, the spouse or the partner of the persons in question may be tempted to believe the story, coming as it is from authentic sources of information. The scandal sees the light of the day and nothing remains the same anymore.

Another example of celebrity gossip sites controlling real life is when the celebs have something nasty to say about their peers. More often than not, the comments made by the celebrity are blown out of proportion by the celeb gossip sites. Then there is a war of words on the entertainment news portals. And what could have been solved amicably between closed doors suddenly becomes a media circus. When these things happen, relationships are sometimes damaged for life. There have been break-ups and splits because the truth in some of these supposed paparazzi scoops are not so true after all.

Another way in which celebrity gossip sites affect celeb life is by getting them to know the whereabouts and actions of each other. If any celeb pays close attention to the celeb gossip sites, they can easily find out what their persons of interest are doing. They instantly know who is dating whom and who their exes are! This information bank is sometimes necessary when you want to get into a commitment with a celebrity. Entertainment news portals help other celebs in this rather bizarre way! But all is not lost because celebs also know the power and reach of these paparazzi scoop portals. They use these sites without any qualms when it comes to promoting their films and talking about their upcoming projects. It's all on how you want to see it, because accept it or not, celebrity gossip sites are now part of the legitimate media.

Jeebas Entertainment Blog is all about entertainment news, music reviews, TV shows and celebrity gossip, especially hollywood gossip. You will find all the best celeb gossip in town on the pages of this blog that prides itself on the inside paparazzi scoops! Come, be entertained!

Become a Top Wedding Planner - What it Takes to Be a Celebrity Wedding Planner

If you're a potential or new wedding planner, you may be dreaming of planning elaborate, high-end weddings and weddings for famous entertainers, similar to the events you read about in lifestyle and celebrity magazines. While you can have a goal of being a wedding planner for the rich and famous, and becoming famous yourself, you need to start by planning weddings in your own area that have realistic budgets. Famous wedding planners and event designers started this way. They learned and perfected their skills before they approached, or were approached by, high-end clients.

For example, Preston Bailey, event designer to celebrities such as the Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, Oprah and Joan Rivers, wrote in his book, "Preston Bailey's Design for Entertaining: Inspiration for Creating the Party of Your Dreams", that he started out being involved in fashion, as a model. He then realized his passion for arranging flowers and became a floral designer. He started using flowers as items of decor to enhance design concepts and soon clients began asking him to design their special events. He did a lot of studying on his own; reading books on design, horticulture, art history and architecture.

David Tutera, an event producer who has planned events for Jennifer Lopez, Sir Elton John, and the Prince of Wales, and is the star of his own show, "My Fair Wedding", wrote in his book, "A Passion for Parties: Your Guide to Elegant Entertaining", that he had actually dreamed of being a movie star. To make some money, he started a singing telegram company, delivering songs while wearing a chicken or gorilla suit. He branched out into balloon bouquets and was asked to decorate a party. To do it justice, he had his grandfather, who owned a successful florist shop, teach him floral design and purchasing. His business eventually grew to party planning then event design and production.

As you can see, both men first created a business doing something they loved, then they did a lot of hard work before they got the clients, money and fame that they have today. You want to do the same thing. You want to take the time to get experience successfully creating weddings on a budget, coordinating with vendors, managing a staff, and handling the emergencies that come up on a wedding day, before you plan an elaborate wedding. You also need to create your network of high-quality vendors so you are confident that you have a team that you can work with successfully.

Tattoo Wedding Rings - The New Celebrity Trend

A tattooed wedding ring is a representative of solidity and commitment, a testament to love and a reminder for your responsibility as a wife. The tattooed wedding ring will say that you trust enough in the relationship to have a permanent symbol of it on your body. There are so many reasons to choose this type of wedding ring.

Adventurous couples choose tattooed wedding rings, as they are ever lasting. The permanence of a tattoo is a powerful symbol and reminder to persevere, and work things out. Some people go for tattooed wedding rings just to be modern or different from others. Some people opt for these type wedding rings as a placeholder until they can afford a real ring. Some others rebel against actual rings altogether, using tattoos as an alternative in lieu of diamond rings.

Still others choose tattooed rings as in their working place a real ring would be spoiled. When people are allergic to metals, they go for tattooed rings. Although the practice has been around for centuries, it has come again as trendy now.

Choosing a tattooed wedding ring:

Tattooed rings are much more a serious commitment and the selection of tattoo is a careful process. The tattooed wedding rings should be selected with great care as once selected cannot be changed according to the change in taste often. There are so many options in designs to choose from like the literal option of getting a ring design tattooed on their fingers, the first name, the nick name, initials of their loved ones, an image with great sentimental value, and the date on which they met or any secret code only the couples can understand.

The disadvantage of tattooed wedding bands is it never goes off and if the relationship dissolves, it's mentally and emotionally painful to live with the ring and physically painful to get rid of it. There are means and ways to get rid of these tattoos.

Standard laser tattoo removal ranges from $1,500 to $3000 and can take up to two years. According to Tattoo artist Lisa Fasula, there was a great increase in tattooed wedding rings few years ago and now there is a great increase in tattoo erasing as the relationships ended. Might be the tattoos are more permanent than the marriages.

Some celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, Nick Carter and Paris Hilton have sealed their love in ink under the skin.

Celebrity Wedding Rings

Whether we like it or not, the truth is that the lives of celebrities are scrutinized with magnifying glass-curiosity by the paparazzi, the media and fans alike. In fact, celebrities rule the airwaves and gossip columns today. Every little detail of a celebrity's life is usually big news among the public at large, and one such aspect is the celebrity wedding rings flashed by our favorite star couples. Among the ardent fans of celebrities, are couples who would love nothing more than to own and wear celebrity weddings bands, as similar as possible to the ones worn by their celebrity heroes.

The fact remains that today many couples wish to be different in terms of their wedding styles, themes and even their wedding rings. It is specifically such couples who are also choosing celebrity wedding rings. If you and your partner wish to own and wear celebrity wedding bands as close as possible to those worn by your favorite celebrity couples, there are some simple ways to do this. For a start, you may color-copy, or scan the designs of the celebrity wedding rings worn by the particular celebrity couple from a close-up of the same, published in any glossy, celebrity magazine. If you succeed in getting a reasonably, legible scanned picture or laser color-copy, you can get an experienced designer of celebrity wedding bands to come up with a more detailed, illustration.

There are several jewelers who can come up with prototypes of the final designs you present to them. Such jewelers can then easily make your celebrity wedding bands at a cost far cheaper than the originals of your favorite star couple. On the other hand, there are also several certified, jewelers who have a range of celebrity wedding rings that are identical to the ones worn by top celebrities, although not necessarily of the same precious metal or gemstone authenticity. The advantage here is, that you will not only have celebrity wedding bands that are virtually identical copies to their celebrity-worn originals, but at a price far less than their originals.

Perhaps, why many young couples are desirous of having look-alike, celebrity wedding rings, is that it gives them a sense of confidence, style, sophistication, and, above all, the satisfaction of being different. Thankfully, with the widespread interest among people in the lives of celebrities, coupled with the power of the media, the opportunities to find actual photographs of the celebrity wedding rings and reproduce them have become extremely easy. While it's true that original, celebrity wedding rings or celebrity wedding bands, cost enormous sums of money, inexpensive, copies of such wedding rings can be made by any experienced and professional jeweler, using cheaper grades of metal and gemstones.

In the final analysis however, celebrity wedding rings will certainly reflect your sense of style, personality and taste and that of your partner's, as well as give the overall atmosphere of the wedding you've planned, a degree of sophistication. However, what matters most is, the love that you and your partner share. After all, the real celebrities ... are you.

Unique and Custom-Made Wedding Bands

Are you in the market for a wedding ring? With so many choices available in shops these days, it can be quite tough to make a choice as to which wedding band to choose. The problem here is that these rings are not unique and some couple just want something that isn't available to everyone. This are where handcrafted wedding rings come in.

In the past, to get a handcrafted wedding ring produced would cost way too much money and most average working class couples would it much to expensive to obtain. Back then, the people who custom ordered wedding rings consisted of celebrities and the very well-off.

The story today is different however. Due to the drop in manufacturing costs, as well as the fierce jewelry market competition, the prices have become much more realistic, and within reach of ordinary people. The internet has played its part as well in raising the bar on competition and helping the folks find the jewelry services they need more easily.

Not too long ago, having these custom-made wedding bands would cost several thousands of dollars, but today, you can get the same ordered for your wedding for just a tiny fraction of that price.

If you really have your heart set on getting a handcrafted ring for your wedding, the best place to start researching for jewelry designers and their prices is on the internet. There you'll find an endless supply of big to small jewelry designers who are begging to take your orders - literally! You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that in a lot of cases, having a beautiful custom-made wedding band produced (via the internet) can sometimes be cheaper than buying a regular ring at a big jewelry retail store in your city.

Now I know that some of you might be a bit hesitant, and have a lack of confidence with buying such an important piece of jewelry over the internet, but rest assured, there has been thousands of customers who have purchased from these online jewelry designers and have had no complaints. You should definitely do your part beforehand and scope out the reviews of each merchant before making your order though.

The best part of having your wedding bands custom-made is that you will have a piece of jewelry that is totally unique, and totally you. It will be something you will wear on your finger that reflects your personality, as well as your style. Some couples even go through the trouble of coming up with initial designs by themselves, and infused in the ring design, symbols of their love for each other.

So don't hold back, and consider getting a set of custom made wedding bands for you and your loved one today.

Create the Perfect Celebrity Pony Tail

Perhaps one of the most versatile celebrity hairstyles known to women is the ponytail. It can be both utilitarian and classy, fun and professional depending upon how and what it is put up with. Many celebrities know the value of a well-placed ponytail as well. If you have been stuck in a rut with your pony, it is time to break out with these tips.

The ponytail is so perfect that it is often the hairstyle of choice for celebrities as well as their fans. Stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively all sport the ponytail in one form or another. This is because it looks good and is so easy to do.

Try a fun hair tie. Hair ties are available in so many colors, fabrics and widths; there is literally a hair tie for every person and every situation. They can be fun and flirty or serious and plain. If going to a party, try putting your ponytail together with a holder wrapped in sequins for some added sparkle. For work, a plain black band may be just the right choice.

A sophisticated way to wear a ponytail that looks as good as all celebrity hairstyles, but doesn't take much time is a low pony. This is worn at the bottom of the head, right at the neckline - as opposed to one that is worn higher on the head. If you are looking for a sweet girl look, tie a ribbon over the holder. This exudes innocents and trust.

If heading to the beach for the after noon, a quick up do ponytail will be perfect. This type of hairstyle doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be. It does well both in and out of the water and is easy to re-do if need be. Just dry out the hair with a towel, whip it back up into a ponytail and you are ready for a night on the town.

These celebrity hairstyles are so classic; they are often used as a wedding hairstyle. It is both classic and contemporary, depending upon how it is put together. Perhaps a sleek start to the pony is the right choice for you. If your celebrity hairstyles are to include bangs, pairing them with a ponytail creates a nostalgic look that is popular right now. If using it as a wedding style, try popping some flowers sprigs or glitter into it for a unique look that is perfect for the day.

The ponytail is one of the few celebrity hairstyles that are good for several lengths of hair. Only the shortest of hair cannot be put into a ponytail. Another great aspect, is that is always looks good. It always looks in style. You don't need expensive styling products to achieve it and anyone can do it.

Celebrities and Jewelry - A Marriage Forged in Heaven

Jewelry is the latest celebrity designer craze, and anyone who`s anyone is hard at work channeling their fame into solid gold and silver.

Leading the way, of course, are Brangelina - it wouldn`t be right if the world`s golden couple weren`t pioneering this new golden age now would it? Pitt and Jolie are known around their world for their glitzy glamorous lifestyle, and their ceaseless commitment to all manner of worthy causes. Fittingly, all proceeds from their new jewelry collection - called Protector - will go to one of Jolie`s favorite charities.

Manufactured by London jeweler Asprey, the range will be based around the image of a snake, an animal which Jolie considers a protector of her family. The collection features bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, pendants and brooches, and will hit our stores in time for the holiday season.

Following in Brad and Ang`s exalted footsteps are the Kardashian clan, whose versatility and creativity appear to know no limits.

Kim, Kourteney and Khloe are renowned for their unique, off-the-wall look, and now they`re passing on their distinctive style in a range of trinkets which will go on sale next spring. The collection, which will be rolled out under the uber-cool Los Angeles brand Virgins, Saints and Angels, is sharp, edgy and gripping - much like the Kardashians themselves.

Speaking on behalf of her siblings, Kim Kardashian said the design is based on the power of ancient gods and goddesses, and evokes the rags-to-riches romance of their Armenian family history. Those who want to capture a slice of the Kardashians` eastern elegancy will be able to purchase their jewelry in stores such as Blue Bee, Sparkle Fred Segal and Nordstrom, and will find the trinkets extremely reasonably priced.

But this jewelry fad`s not just for the younger crowd; venerated veterans of stage and screen are in on it as well. Just look at ageing beauty Jane Seymour - first a doctor, then a dancer and now a designer of delectable ornamentation.

Seymour`s collection, Open Heart, has been around since the start of the year and made steady progress. Retailing from just $49.00 in Kay Jewelers, Open Heart is a classical and understated edition to the celebrity jewelry jamboree.

With singer Alicia Keys and actress Michelle Trachtenberg also hard at work on their own jewelry lines, you`d be forgiven for wondering whether the entire celebrity industry has been overcome with glitter fever. But there`s method in this madness; celebrities have the time, the knowledge and the personality to make incredible jewelry designers.

During the long lulls in between shoots, songs and shows, today`s celeb has ample time to conceive and refine their designs. And, because many of them spend their entire working lives being dressed by the world`s best stylists, they know exactly what`s hot and what`s not.

And, like the best jewelry, our favourite celebs pretty, polished and exclusive; it`s a marriage forged in heaven. We`ve spent years trying to catch up with our heroes and heroines, striving in vain to grasp and mimic their oh-so-perfect looks. Now they are telling us exactly how to do it, and consumers the world over are sure to snap up their shimmering designs.

It's always been ideal for the groom to wear black and the bride to wear white, however, what about having a black and white wedding theme? There a a lot of people, including celebrities that use this theme to make their wedding the ultimate elegant party. You will find that there is something with black and white that just makes the evening seem timeless. For a world that is obsessed with color and brightly attracted fashion designs, some times it is in the best interest of the couple to downplay the wedding. When you have a black and white wedding you have the option to have a casual wedding or a very elegant wedding. Keep in mind that there are many different takes that you can have with the black and white wedding.

The first spin is glamour. It is a glamorous thing to be in a little black dress and a lot of people use black in their wedding because it's a color that looks good on anyone and it also is a slimming color. You will also want to keep in mind that black and white reminds many of the old Hollywood. A lot of celebrities, back in the day, would wear things that were either black or white so that they could stand out on TV. Color didn't pick up on B&W TV, so you worked with just white or black.

Today, you can still add color to your black and white event. Things like having a slash for the bridesmaids will allow you to have some color, but you are still giving off the radiance of simplicity. Simplicity is the key to a black and white wedding.

The second take of the black and white wedding is to give it a modern look. You will find that this is very contemporary, but the way that you use the colors will make a huge difference to the way that the wedding is. Keep in mind that men tend to look better in black. When you put a man in a black suite he just seems to become handsome in just a few minutes. Keep in mind that bridesmaids also look good in black. There is just something to say about a woman who is in that little black dress. It's elegant and quit honest, it is a fabulous way to make the wedding party look particularly high class.

Whatever your reason is for having a black and white wedding, you will find that there is no denying that it can be a magically event. You will find that there is also much that you can do with the two colors and also you will be able to use other accent colors to help you have some actual color without it being too red or over-powering with purple.

Las Vegas Hotels and Celebrities

You say Las Vegas, we say party. Las Vegas is one of the world's most entertaining cities and you aren't the only one who thinks this way. Some celebrities seem to have the love for Las Vegas as well since they can easily be located in this part of the world. These celebrities come here to gamble, shop and generally have a good time, just like everyone else. Besides this, Las Vegas is an excellent spot for shooting films as well.

If there is one place where you can spot your celebrities, it is in Las Vegas. It is common to find celebrities in the hotels and casinos gambling, partying and enjoying themselves. As Los Angeles is just a few hours' drive away, and an even shorter plane ride, it is very common for celebrities to come down to Las Vegas to party on the weekends, some even going as far as hosting parties.

A club that is famous for attracting celebrities is The Palms on Flamingo Road. It is known that Paris Hilton, Paul Anka and Vince Neil have tried it out and highly complimented their porterhouses. In addition to this list of celebrities, pop star Britney Spears has a liking for this place as well.

Another famous spot that celebrities have been spotted in the past would be the Hotel Bellagio. Popular names like Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio have been spotted vacationing in this area of the city. As it is, the prices of these hotels are not only for the celebrities, they are for everyone. You can take a chance and try to find your celebrity somewhere nearby too.

However, you may not always be this lucky and should not set out on a trip just to find these celebrities. The reason you may not find these people on some of the trademark hotels of Las Vegas would be that these celebrities always try to keep a low profile during their time off to unwind from the constant hustle of their everyday life. Therefore, they make special arrangements for themselves in order to have a vacation themselves. In addition, This city's hotels have such traffic that even if there were some celebrities around, you probably would even recognize them.

One of the trademarks in this amazing city hotels is the Stratosphere Tower, which is the tallest building in the west of the Mississippi River. You simply have to look at this tower whenever you visit the Sin City. The top of the tower gives a magnificent view of the whole city. Victor Hugo used to come here to write because he hated the Eiffel tower a lot and used to find this place soothing, as he did not used to have to look at the Eiffel tower itself. This shows that even when you are in Las Vegas, you get to see a multi-cultural theme surrounding you and you feel like you have visited more than one place.

Do not confuse yourself by going on the bus tours that hotels organize. The popular Double Decker Bus of the Stars lets its customers experience maximum entertainment and performances with performers dressing up as famous celebrities such as Madonna, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and many more stars. There is only one performer per tour so each tour offers a different celebrity to entertain the tourists.

Another factor that these hotels are famous for are the wedding chapels. Many known celebrities have tied knots in Las Vegas. This custom started as a different yet unforgettable way of performing a wedding. These days, to entertain the customers to the maximum, there are many packages offered by Las Vegas wedding chapels, such as special Elvis Presley weddings, limo weddings and many others.

Most hotels have casinos with themes such as 007 or others in order to entertain their guests to the maximum. Not only does Las Vegas offer you enjoyment, it asks for your creative flair to come around as well. Presenting different themes on casino nights, varying from musical evenings to the 70's style, Las Vegas casino let you experience it all.

That is why Las Vegas is one of the most famous spots in the world. Not only does this city give you a mixture of Hollywood with your vacations, hotel services make sure that they make your trip a very memorable one.

Las Vegas hotels will help you enjoy your vacation. There is such a variety here from the luxurious to cheap hotels.

Celebrity Wedding Gowns - Get Your Own Designer Wedding Dress

Today, most eyes are glued on celebrities, their ever move is being watched. Given that, there is no need to wonder why celebrities get married in very impressive ways. The press feasts on celebrity weddings, every single detail of the event is analyzed, from the location to the invited guests and to the designer of the bride and the bridal party's dresses. Celebrity wedding gowns can be one of the most complex gowns on the planet, top designers go all out on celebrity wedding gowns to keep their place in the fashion industry safe and sound.

Designing a Celebrity Wedding Gown

Most celebrity wedding gowns are hand-made to ensure that the dress fits the bride perfectly, it is styled in very original ways which guarantees the bride to have a real one-of-a-kind dress, and certainly no one else can have. More often than not, the dress contains precious gems and is carefully hand stitched by skilled seamstresses. celebrity wedding gowns would often carry the ides of the celebrities themselves, it's either because they've already spotted a nice design but just wants to add a personal touch to it or they know the basic style they want for their dress. But most of the celebrities lay it all on the designer, trusting the designer's choices because they believe that the designer knows what's best for them in terms of skin coloring, palettes and body shape.

We regularly see celebrity wedding gowns in magazines or on television, those dresses costs a fortune, ranging from ten thousand US dollars and above. The reason for having such a huge price tag is because every aspect of the dress is handmade, it takes approximately six months to finish, depending on how intricate the design is. The more complex the design gets, the more expensive it becomes. Many of the celebrity wedding gowns include pearls, diamonds, and a lot or other precious stones hand-sewn on the dress, making it even more expensive. The uniqueness and the lavish nature of these dresses are probably the main reason why these gowns are considered to be prized possessions by socialites and celebrities.

Acquiring Celebrity Wedding Gowns

A lot of women idolize the styles of celebrity wedding gowns and would constantly dream about having that lovely dress within the palms of their hands. That dream can be turned into reality; there are a bunch of options to help you grab that celebrity dress. A few wedding apparel retailers sell replicas of celebrity wedding gowns to quench those hopefuls' thirsts. These replicas aren't as detailed as the original ones worn by the celebrity, think of it as a spin-off, only a lot cheaper. Dresses like these usually costs $5,000 or less, compared with the originals...that's definitely cheaper! Don't worry about the dress, it still somehow looks like the real one because it has a lot of beading and faux gemstones, as opposed to the original ones, they are mass produced which can reduce the quality and the uniqueness but it sure can lower the price!

Flautist Sir James Galway and his third wife, U.S.-born Jeanne (nee Cinnante)

On 22nd September 1984 in Brussels Prince Lorenz, Archduke of Austria-Este, married Princess Astrid of Belgium, the only daughter of the then Prince of Liège, now King Albert II of the Belgians.

Actress Susan George married actor Simon MacCorkindale 5th October 1984.

Actress Sigourney Weaver and film maker Jim Simpson have been married since 1 October 1984. They have one daughter Charlotte Simpson, born in 1990.

Dawn French and Lenny Henry met on the alternative comedy circuit. They married 20 October 1984.

The practice of giving peculiar gifts on various wedding anniversaries originated in Central Europe in medieval times. In what is now Germany, it was customary for friends to present a wife with a wreath of silver when she had lived with her husband twenty-five years. The silver symbolized the harmony that was assumed to be necessary to make so many years of matrimony possible. It is unlikely that the wreath was really silver, instead it would be made from plants with a white or silver finish.

Today it is customary for the couple to exchange real silver gifts. If they are having a party to celebrate their wedding guests can also present a silver gift.

Stewart Hersey is owner and Managing Director of Hersey & Son Silversmiths. Established in 1955 he and his craftsmen make traditional and modern silver gifts in his workshop in Teddington, Middlesex. These are shipped to customers worldwide. You can find a selection of appropriate Silver Wedding Anniversary Gifts on his website.

Top Wedding Dresses Review

For most women, planning a wedding doesn`t really begin until the dress has been bought. It is often something that goes far back into a woman`s childhood, where as a girl she idolized anyone in a dress like she was a princess, and then as she grew, dreamed and fantasized about a dress of her own. There are many designers that make dresses exclusively and consider it an art. Some designers are known for a certain kind of niche that keeps them separate from the rest. Knowing a little about the designer and their dresses might help you determine what direction you want to go.

Wedding dress shopping does not have to be stressful, but it is crucial to know kind of what you want before you venture to the store. The reason for this is that once you head to a store and are surrounded by thousands of white puffy dresses you will begin to get blurry vision and everything will look the same. Then when you leave the shop, you won`t remember one from the other, and that kind of experience can make it frustrating for everyone involved!

Check out magazines, the internet and use your imagination to figure out what kind of dress you want. There are many things to consider, like if you want a slim fitting dress or one with more fabric and room, do you want an a-line or mermaid style? And what color are you after? Traditionally brides went with white, but now are picking off whites and creams, with some even doing it in pure color! The last thing you will want to consider is what neck line you want, whether it`s a strapless, v-neck or spaghetti strapped.

Vera Wang has been making wedding dresses for years and has even made dresses for many celebrities. She truly believes in the dresses she creates and sees them each as a piece of art. Vera Wang`s message about picking a dress is that the dress is not just a dress but a representation of your entire self. When it is put like that it is hard to argue with. Her wonderful dresses follow the same delicate pattern; strapless for the most part and form fitting. Her dresses usually are slim at the top with a curvier ruffled bottom. The scattered dress has a bow or a ribbon in a light color.

The Madison Collection offers a little more variety in her dresses. Some of her dresses offer sleeves and gloves. The sleeves help someone feel a little more secure and covered up when they walk down the aisle in front of their friends and family. When straps are put on her dresses they are usually thicker with more a v-shaped neckline.

The Jasmine Collection has a great line up of best selling dresses. Her collection includes lots of strapless or thin strapped dresses. Most of her dresses had an A-line form with medium ruffles toward the lower half and in the pattern in general, lots of beads were seen in her dresses.

Mikaella dresses seem to use more fabric in the designs. These dresses look like they have more fabric and ruffles to play around with, which is great for anyone who feels a bit self-conscious about their body. Her dresses are simple and elegant with minimal beading, and strapless designs. The odd dress has a bow or diamond clip to add some color and flare.

The History of the White Wedding Dress

As a youngster -- or perhaps even as an adult -- have you ever sat dreamily imagining yourself in a fairytale wedding dress, about to marry your very own Prince Charming? And, what colour is the wedding dress? The chances are it's a white one. Millions of girls and women that dream of the perfect marriage have a vision of the perfect white wedding dress in their minds. But why white? Where did this tradition come from?

Women Haven't Always Been Marrying in White

In fact, in the grand scheme of things, the tradition isn't even all that old. The white wedding dress of today is deep-seated tradition, and for many is worn to signify virtue as well as uphold tradition. Millions -- in fact billions -- of women all over the world start thinking about the perfect white wedding gown before they have even found the perfect partner.

Britain is a place that is rife with traditions and legends, so it is little wonder that the tradition of the white wedding dress was started by the English Monarchy. It was the wedding of Queen Victoria that spawned the interest and popularity of white wedding dresses as we know them today.

Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxe in 1840, and wore what would then have been considered a flamboyant white gown. Of course, this did not start the tradition immediately; however, many women saw this as a statement of class and style, and copied the Queen by also getting married in white.

The white wedding dress in those days had nothing to do with being virtuous -- it was all about wealth. Getting married in a white, extravagant gown was a sign that you could afford to buy a dress that you would never be able to wear again because of its style and colour (whites were not easy to clean in those days as they are today!).

Of course, women still continued to be married in various colours and styles of dress -- it was only the vain and the wealthy that insisted on white to follow in the footsteps of the wealthy Monarch. However, during Edwardian times, the white wedding dress once more soared to new heights of popularity, as Coco Chanel unveiled its new knee-length white wedding dress, complete with extravagant train.

Even so, with the depression that followed World War I and the approach of World War II, many women continued to make do with whatever type of dress they could afford, and this went on for decades. Some women would marry in a short white informal wedding dress, which could then be dyed and used as an everyday dress. Again, it was only the fabulously wealthy that could really afford to splurge on an elaborate gown.

However, from the 1950s onwards, as the world watched Hollywood stars, royalty and members of high society get wed in stunning white gowns, the tradition of white became signed and sealed.

Wedding Dresses of Different Colours: A bit of folklore

As with many other things in life, there is much folklore and legend surrounding the various other colours that brides have been known to wed in. One old rhyme seems to sum up these notions:

Married in white, you have chosen all right. Married in green, ashamed to be seen. Married in red, you will wish yourself dead.Married in blue, you will always be true.Married in yellow, ashamed of your fellow.Married in black, you will wish yourself back.Married in pink, your spirits will sink

Of course, most people will think nothing of this poem, apart from the fact that each colour has been coupled with a meaning that just happened to rhyme very well. We all know that there are plenty of people that have married in pinks, blues and every other colour, and have enjoyed a long and happy marriage. And we certainly know that there are plenty of people that have married in white, who have not prospered quite so well.

Ordering Your Wedding Dress Online

Luckily, legend and folklore has given way to individuality in recent years, and brides now enjoy getting married in the colour of their choice. Both celebrities and everyday women have injected their wedding dresses with their own sense of style and personality, and we have seen women marrying in colours ranging from delicate ivory to deepest red and even black.

Royalty and high society still tend to favour the tradition of marrying in white. However, since simply wearing a white wedding gown can no longer mark their stature due to the availability of the white wedding dress, they now do this by infusing the dress with the most expensive silks, pearls and material possible, making it worth a king's ransom by the time it is finished.

Luckily, we don't all have to pay a fortune to look stunning for our wedding day, and there is now so much choice in colour, style, material and design that we can get married looking just the way we want -- and without having to sell all of our worldly possessions to do so!

The Internet is a great source for wedding dresses. You can enjoy excellent value for your money and unrivalled choice, enabling you to achieve just the look and theme that you want for your special day. Whether you want a full-on white gown with all the trimmings, a simple and elegant ivory dress, an informal yet classy wedding dress or something totally unique in a rich, vibrant colour, the Internet will provide you with access to the perfect choice.

You will enjoy access to a wide range of dress styles online, including:

  • Traditional wedding gowns
  • Informal wedding dresses
  • Designer wedding dresses
  • Coloured wedding gowns
  • Gothic or medieval style wedding gowns
  • Short wedding dresses
  • Long wedding dresses

You can also select from a wide choice of material, so you can feel and look as stunning as you dare, and with the great quality available online you can cherish your special dress for years to come -- perhaps even pass it down to future generations.

A Review of Vera Wang Wedding Dresses

Are you in a place where you love the idea of being at the peak of fashion for your wedding dress? Are you someone who feels as though the dress you wear should be beautiful, flattering, and wonderfully edgy on top of it? If so, you will find that you need to look into the Vera Wang wedding dresses.

Vera Wang wedding dresses are simply amazing and whether you want something that is breathtakingly simple but very well cut, or you want a slightly busier gown that has a lot of eye-catching detail, this might be the fashion house that you go to. Take some time and consider what these wedding dresses have to offer you and make sure that you look into how you can use them to get the effect that you are after.

In the first place, consider what the history of the house itself is like. Vera Wang herself was a senior fashion editor at Vogue magazine for 16 years before leaving to join Ralph Lauren as a design director. In 1990, she opened up her own design salon in New York, and this is where her trademark wedding gowns started taking off. There are many celebrities that have enjoyed her wedding gowns.

Some of the luminaries who have been married in Vera Wang wedding dresses include Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey, Victoria Beckham, Sharon Stone, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Similarly, she has also brought her designs to the ice skating rink and designed costumes for figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Michelle Kwan. If you are a fan of Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw wore a wedding dress by Vera Wang in her Vogue photo shoot.

With all of this acclaim behind the brand, it makes sense why so many people would enjoy these dresses, but are they right for you? The truth of the matter is that these dresses are much more appropriate when you are looking at certain kind of wedding. These dresses tend more towards the modern than the traditional, and some of the dresses have an asymmetry that would be difficult to combine with a more traditional wedding. Take some time and consider what your wedding is like and what kind of dress is best going to suit it.

Of course, you should always take a look and see what wedding dresses are going to be appropriate for you. Consider how you can move forward and what your options are going to be when you are thinking about moving forward with your wedding. First, consider what your wedding designs and what colors are going to be included in your wedding. This can very much inform your choice and it can tell you whether the Vera Wang wedding dresses are for you. This can have a great deal to do with how you are going to look for your wedding and what your options might be.

Are Vera Wang wedding dresses for, and are they something that you are interested in? Take some time and consider what your options are and what you can do to get the results that you are after; this might well be the perfect designer for you!

Wedding Dresses Shouldn't Go to Pot

After the angst of going through several wedding dresses and finally making a selection, the bride has her dream wedding dress to last her memories for a lifetime. It's a sad fact though that the bridal gown is placed back in its box never to resurface to make a show in another wedding unless the next bride is willing to don a wedding dress that has morphed into a disaster.

Preserve Your Wedding Dress

From the rack of fashionable wedding dresses, how many do you think survives through the years after use? One would be lucky to escape crumpling and soiling if the bride knew where to send her dress for preservation. Yes, dear brides, there is apparel preservation available for those who want to keep their wedding gowns and wedding flowers to look as good new on the wedding day.

But if you are not the sentimental sort, preserving your dress, is not in your books. You can alter it later for more practical uses but pray tell how many brides would dare mutilate their dream wedding dress? Another thing, if your wedding gown was lovingly stitched with pearls and feathers and imported from the best couture house in Paris, you cannot just let your dress go to rot.

Before you go through the stack of dresses in the bridal shop, ask where you can have your wedding dress preserved. If the bridal shop does not offer this service, they can recommend a reliable apparel preservation establishment because bridal shops have set up extensive networking in the bridal business.

How Apparel Preservation Works

During weddings, wedding dresses are subjected to hugs, stains, and suffer other 'indignities' but that's part of the game. Instead of rushing your thousand dollar dress to the cleaners, rush your dress to the shop that offers cleaning off wine or perspiration stains, and removal of fine confetti. Other services include fabric analysis and testing, assessment of fabric weave, dyes, and measurement, and checking out the ornaments used before the wedding dresses go through the works.

If you accidentally sloshed champagne on your beautiful gown, there's no need to go hysterical over it - the problem can be solved easily by fine apparel preservationists. Whatever the stain, the apparel preservationist 'detectives' will be able to pin it down and clean it up the right way. So enjoy your wedding and don't waste every precious minute watching over your gown and dodging hugs and toasts.

The careful study of the dresses gives the apparel preservationists the idea how to clean and preserve your dress in its original shape, perhaps for the next bride in the family or plainly for your own satisfaction of viewing and showing off your wedding dress to your children, family and friends.

You can also sign up your dress for exhibitions of wedding dresses in the future - you never know. If this happens then it would be a grand experience for you and your family. Now you know how the pricey gowns of royalty and celebrities are kept in their best shape for years and these are later auctioned off after ten or even twenty-five years. With this length of time added to the lifespan of your wedding dress, the money you spent for your dream wedding dress is worth all the trouble.

Think Wedding Dress Preservation

Preparing for the wedding takes up the bride's time and choosing the best wedding gown is the ultimate wedding preparation. Now hear, brides should also think about preserving their wedding dresses. Plan where to have your dress treated for preservation and learn how to store your wedding dress correctly - ask the preservationist experts who did the treatment on your wedding gown. To repeat, your wedding dress shouldn't go to pot.

Alyssa Milano's Rustic Elegance Wedding

Television star Alyssa Milano was just married, and she had a rustic elegance style wedding that any bride would love. The family style wedding had many nice features that can serve as inspiration for non-celebrity weddings, as well. From the setting, to the details, and most especially the gown, these are the highlights of her special day.

When Alyssa Milano wed her fiance, Hollywood agent David Bugliari, it was an affair that emphasized a welcoming family feeling over celebrity glitz and glamor. Make no doubt about it, the wedding had some beautiful details, but Alyssa said that she wanted it to have the same good natured spirit of the weekly dinners held by her large Italian family. Since family first was the theme, it was only right that the ceremony and reception were held at the estate owned by the groom's family in New Jersey.

The overall style of Alyssa Milano's wedding was rustic elegance, which was emphasized by the beautiful country location, as well as some homespun touches. The bride's gown was very sweet, not what you might first imagine for a celebrity wedding. It was a custom Vera Wang gown with a strapless bodice in an interesting softly gathered sheer material like organza. The gentle pleating of the fabric was done in vertical folds, with a loose ruffle effect at the top of the bodice. It was a very romantic and feminine design, which was flattering without being tight or revealing. The great thing about this style of gown is it is a shape that would be lovely on almost any bride, no Hollywood figure required. Even if you cannot afford a custom Vera Wang gown, you can create a similar effect with one of the lovely gathered organza or chiffon gowns that are currently in style.

In keeping with the simple setting, the bride kept her accessories simple as well. Her cushion cut diamond engagement ring and a delicate pair of earrings complemented the bride's decorative headband and tulle veil. This would be a very easy style for a regular bride to achieve. A classic pair of cultured pearl earrings worn with a pearl headband would be lovely for an outdoor ceremony. You could add another dimension by including a classic pearl necklace with the cultured pearl earrings.

The flowers at Alyssa Milano's wedding were also delicate and sweet. Her bouquet featured one of the most traditional wedding flowers: lily of the valley. Cream colored rose petals and natural grasses were strewn down the aisle, and the bride and groom exchanged their vows under a wrought iron gazebo decorated with willow, calla lilies, and roses. Instead of the "Wedding March", Alyssa chose to walk down the aisle accompanied by John Lennon's ballad "Imagine".

The reception had a wonderful rustic chic design. Cocktails were served on rattan seating with hay bales standing in for regular tables. For dinner, guests were called into a tent dressed with rustic farmhouse tables and wrought iron chandeliers. It was the perfect environment for the family style gathering that the bride and groom had envisioned.

All in all, the wedding of Alyssa Milano and David Bugliari was both elegant and understated. It was a breath of fresh air, as compared to the typical celebrity wedding extravaganza held in a European castle or exotic island. The family oriented style of their wedding is a concept that any bride could be proud to emulate.

There are so many maternity wedding dresses to choose from these days it's no wonder so many women are getting married pregnant.

Since there is such a large selection of wedding dresses for the pregnant bride the decision can be overwhelming. Which wedding dress suits your style is the big question. To help you figure out which maternity wedding dress you may want to try I have briefly explained the different styles available.

Empire Waist

This is one of the most popular maternity wedding dress styles as it works great with the baby bump. The high waist line dresses accentuate your beautiful curves which really help with the transition from your bust to your belly.

Long Sleeves

Whether the wedding is in a cold weather climate or you are looking for a style that hides the weight in your arms, long sleeves are a great choice. You can wear a dress that has long sleeves built in or you can wear a long sleeve bolero jacket over a strapless or spaghetti strap dress.

Short Sleeves

Maternity wedding dresses with short sleeves are great if you have to wear a more supportive bra to hold up the growing bust. They also are more modest than strapless or halter styles dresses if your wedding is in a warmer climate.

Strapless

The strapless dress is very popular for pregnant brides in the empire waist. This waistline helps the strapless dress stay up well as it sits on the top of the belly. The strapless dress comes in a variety of materials including satin, silk and stretchy lace.

Strappy

There are several different styles in the strappy dress category including thick straps, spaghetti straps and shoulder straps. Some of the most popular maternity wedding dresses worn by celebrities fall into this category. While some strappy dresses are more risqué there are plenty of modest ones available.

Halters

Some of the less traditional maternity wedding dresses are shorter in length. However, you can find a variety of beautiful short style dresses in empire waist, A line and halter styles made of satin and lace. The short dresses are great if your legs have not started to swell and the weather is warm.

Tea Length

Only a select few of the maternity bridal dresses come in tea length as it can be a hard length to match with swollen calves. It hits below the knee and above the ankle which is a hard length for many women. If you have small calves this is a flattering length and would be a perfect choice.

While it may seem like your wedding will have to be very different than you originally thought, the only thing you really have to change is the style of your wedding dress. Accommodating that adorable baby bump is more fun than you could have ever imagined.

Halters

A favorite style wedding dress for the larger bust size women, the halter wedding dresses are wonderful for pregnant bides. This type of dress comes in a variety of styles including the scoop, straight, high and V neckline. They look great with an A line or empire waist as well.

Short Length

Some of the less traditional maternity wedding dresses are shorter in length. However, you can find a variety of beautiful short style dresses in empire waist, A line and halter styles made of satin and lace. The short dresses are great if your legs have not started to swell and the weather is warm.

Tea Length

Only a select few of the maternity bridal dresses come in tea length as it can be a hard length to match with swollen calves. It hits below the knee and above the ankle which is a hard length for many women. If you have small calves this is a flattering length and would be a perfect choice.

Long Length

Long length maternity wedding gowns are the most popular these days amongst pregnant brides. The nice thing about this length of dress is that it comes in all the styles available. Long dresses are wonderful because with the right style and material they can slim you down when you are pregnant.

While any of these dresses are a great choice it is important that you choose according to your comfort level and the season of your wedding. Try on the different styles so you know which ones compliment your beautiful figure and ever changing body. Have fun picking out great accessories once you have decided on a dress and good luck planning your big day.
